Factory in Canada, 1981 - 1986

First of all: there never existed a Factory Records Canada but a licensing deal with Montreal-based PolyGram Inc., since April 1981.
The records were distributed by Saint Laurent-based PolyGram Distribution Inc.

This discography features the Factory/PolyGram Inc. releases from 1981 until 1986 (DJ promos until 1990), because of the unique numbering system used for the releases during that period (with a few exceptions, where the original Factory numbers have been used).

Unallocated numbers: 04, 09, 16, 18, 19, 22.

By 1987, PolyGram replaced the special numbering system (except for DJ promos) by generic six digit numbers (i.e. 830812-1 for Unknown Pleasures) only.
